Introducing the Hendersons

We are excited about our new opportunity in Lufkin.  We are looking forward to becoming a part of your family.  We want to introduce our family to you.  Denise and I have five children but only Noah will be moving to Lufkin.  Noah is 16 and will be a junior in high school.  Hannah is 23 and is currently doing a yearlong mission project.  She is in Guatemala this month.  Sarah is 28 and is currently living in Denver Colorado.  Our oldest son Caleb is 30 and lives in Dallas.  Finally, our oldest daughter is Rachel and she is 32.  She is married to Adam Smith who is the youth minister at the North Garland Church of Christ in Enid Oklahoma.  They have 2 daughters, Hannah Clare and Zoe.  They are expecting their third daughter at the end of June.

I attended Abilene Christian University and have an undergraduate degree in Bible and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  I have worked as a youth minister for 30 years and the last 14 months I have been at the Salvation Army as a caseworker rehousing homeless people.  I am looking forward to using my experiences in serving Central and the Lufkin community.

Denise and I have been married for 35 years.  She is an administrative assistant employed by North Texas Leadership Training for Christ.  Also, this past year she has had the privilege of being the Nanny for a set of twin babies.

We look forward to getting to know each of you. We want to learn about the people that are connected to you.
